A telegram from Topeka, Rays the Populist Administration of Kansas is preparing for a complete overhauling of the State militia.

Every Republican officer will be discharged and -Populists nt in their places. There are more than one bund red commissioned officers in the servicivitieluding captains first and second lieutenants and regimental and brigade officers, wbo will have to go. Their places will be filled with trusty Populists, who will obey orders. The Populists' military forces are not to be confined to the Kansas National Guard, which has a membership limited to less than 1S0O men. but a military force of such magnitude as has never been seen in tbis country ex cept in time of war is being formed.

It is estimated that fully fifty-thousand Populists will be identified with this new movement. Men are drilling all over Kansas to day uot with guns thev have not got them yet, but' in the facings and marchings. On last Tuesday Morning Mr. and Mrs IX Barrows left via New Orleans for Sacramento, Cal. where they will make their future home. Mr Barrows has been in tbe shoe business here for several years, and has made a host of admiring frient's whose good wishes follow him to his new home. WTe sincerely regret to loose Mr.
