And CBS' "Hard Time on Planet Earth" was 63rd. NBC won the week ending June 25, its 53rd in a row, with an average prime-time rating of 12.3 to CBS' 9.3 and ABC's 9.0. ABC's "Roseanne" maintained its place at No. 1. The rest of the top 10 included "Cheers" NBC, "Dear John" NBC, which got its highest ranking to date, "The Cosby Show" NBC, "Golden Girls" NBC, "A Different World" NBC, "The Gifted One" NBC, "L.A.

Law" NBC, "Empty Nest" NBC and "Murder, She Wrote" CBS. ABC added "Coach" to the top 20. It was tied for 17th, thanks to a summer time slot on Tuesday behind "Roseanne." The lowest-rated network shows of the week were: "Hard Time on Planet Earth," "Mission Impossible," "Mickey's 60th Birthday," "Paradise," "Beauty the Beast," "Incredible Sunday," "Tour of Duty," "Microcops," "Have Faith" and "The Right of the People." The news race continued to be neck and neck, with the "CBS Evening News" barely winning the week on a 9.2 rating and 20 share. "ABC World News Tonight" had a 9.0 and 20 share, and "NBC Nightly News" had an 8.5 and 19. The rating is a percentage of the estimated 90.4 million homes in the United States that have televisions.
